“I open and release; Change helps me grow and I welcome it into my life.”

If you were an octopus, you could fit through any space larger than the width of your jaw (or beak, rather, if you were an octopus.) Even if you weighed 600 pounds, you could squeeze through a tube the size of a quarter! You might feel unstoppable — as if you could go ANYWHERE you desired to go! But even an octopus, in all it’s bendy-squishy-flexible-glory, looses it’s ability to do this fancy-transformation-trick if it is holding on to less flexible things in any of it’s 250 sensorily sensitive suction cups.
Take a moment to examine YOUR “tentacles” — emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical. What are you holding onto that is keeping you from moving through into the spaces you desire to be? Can you find eight or more ideas, stories, objects, relationships, insecurities, etc. that you are ready to release? Write them down or gather them together (if they are material things) and offer them to the water. If you live close to a body of water, go there and let them go — say thank you to what they have given you up until now, and release them from your suction cups. You may need to shake your body to really let them loose. If you don’t live near a body of water, fill a cup or a bowl and speak what you release to the water, then give the water back to the earth. Alternatively, you could take a bath and as the water drains, release release release release release release release release. There’s no right or wrong way to do it–only YOUR WAY!
Once you’ve released, reflect: How did it feel to let go? Where will you journey now that your tentacles are free of the blessed burdens? Express yourself in words, video, photograph, collage, story, song, or any which way you choose, and if you feel inspired, share it on your social network sites and in the CLN Facebook Group.
